They were a great way of getting rid of hard to sell items. If nobody bid on an item you could try again with a lower reserve price until you hit on an amount somebody was willing to pay.

I totally forgot those were a feature of the site at one point! I wonder if there are enough people on site daily to make it a useful feature. I wouldn't mind trying it out.
I don’t think I ever tried auctions on here, but I used to love them on Neopets. Scouring auctions for bargains was great
I can't remember why they were discontinued.

Yes! I loved them. I wish they would come back.

Man, I don't think I ever participated in auctions, but it would definitely be fun to see them make a comeback. I feel like it would be a good way for people to potentially sell CWs they wanted to get rid of too

I wonder if it was a bot problem? Auctions can be so nice because you can occasionally get a really nice bargain out of it. But it can be really annoying towards the end if there's a back and forth of only a couple points. I like silent auctions or auctions where you put in a bid and you don't know what others have bid. One and done!

Wondering when they were retired as well as I don't remember them being a thing either! Sounds like fun. Often my trades get cancelled after 2 weeks, I wonder if auctions would be a faster way of selling items.
